5. Archbishop Hoban High School

Named for the Archbishop Edward Francis Hoban, the High School was built in the 1950's as one of more than a dozen high schools founded by the Archbishop and operated by the Brothers of the Holy Cross. In recent years, the building has been renovated, which included the tearing down the dormitories where the Brothers once lived. This, perhaps, may explain the reports of wandering ghosts that roam the school's halls. During the Feast of Saint Joseph, many students claim to have seen spectral priests wearing imposing dark robes, floating through the air in search of their former dormitories. There are also reports of the ghost of a young basketball player who died in a car accident in the late 1980's. Many claim that this ghost actively haunted Archbishop Hoban himself. The basketball player's ghost is often seen lurking through the boy's locker room.
