Coalhouse Fort located in East Tilbury, Essex was featured in Batman Begins as the ancient Bhutanese prison. Here is where The Batman tried to exact his vengeance on criminals by enclosing himself in a world encompassed with harsh villains. Henri Ducard, better known as Ra's al Ghul, recognized Bruce's talents and desired intent and recruited him to join the League of Shadows. A dingy construct originally built in the fifteenth century and rebuilt in 1870 the fort was utilized in World War One and World War Two to defend it's country against the French. Offering a fitting atmosphere to display the grimy world Bruce had placed himself in to seek some comfort from his eternal despair, the fort housed hundreds of men before him that left a more lasting impression. Coalhouse Fort has been noted for ghostly loud sighs and the sounds of men playing poker. Ghostly investigations have uncovered recordings of footsteps and dragging noses, cold spots, the draining of batteries, and electric voice phenomena. The fort also contains physical remainders from the two wars in it's museum of memorabilia open eighteen days out of the year.
