The Godfather: Part II
5. Francavilla, Messina

The Villa where Don Ciccio lives and the town of Corleone were filmed in Francavilla and Nunzita. These towns were also used because of the scenic countryside and small populations. Coppola needed to film in a town that was small and rustic, so he chose these two locations for Don Ciccio's house and the town of Corleone because of its antiquity and because it captures the essence of old Sicily.
