Luca Brasi's hotel room was filmed at Hotel Edison. To save time and money, Coppola also filmed Luca Brasi's murder at the hotel. One of the reasons that Hotel Edison was selected for Luca Brasi's hotel room is because of the fish etching on the door of the night club. The fish etching is used to foreshadow the reference of Luca Brasi sleeping with the fishes.
