The St. Regis Hotel is where Michael and Kay stayed before going back to the Corleone compound for the holidays. This scene was deleted from the film, but this is also where Michael meets Kay before visiting his dad at the hospital. Other scenes filmed at the St. Regis Hotel include the shootings at the end of the movie, when Michael attends the baptism. The barbershop, the revolving doors, and the scene where Clemenza walks up the stairs were all filmed at the St. Regis Hotel. According to Richard Castallano's wife, Coppola had him walk up the stairs approximately thirty-eight times.
