The White's washed more than cars at this kitschy carwash. In Season 1, Walt works as a lowly cashier to supplement his teaching income and even finds himself scrubbing the rims of a student's car. After he learns of his cancer diagnosis, Walt decides to live a little and give his boss, Bogdan, a piece of his mind. After some choice words about Bogdan and his eyebrows, Walt wrecks the place and causes a scene only to return in Season 4 to buy the place to launder his ill-gotten funds. But Bogdan is still a little miffed, and it takes some swindling from Saul to close the deal. This is also where Lydia Rodarte-Quayle confronts Walt in Season 5 about leaving the meth trade. She is promptly told to leave by a very perturbed Skyler. This is also where Skyler and Jesse share a rare moment when they realize that Walt has crossed completely over to the dark side. As you will discover on your tour, A1A is actually a functioning carwash called 'Octopus Carwash' located at 9516 Snow Heights Circle NE, Albuquerque, NM. Rumor has it that the Breaking Bad location was inspired by another Octopus location that was featured in the local film, "Lost In New Mexico," shot in 2004.
