27. Isleta Hotel and Casino

While Isleta was used as the site of Jesse’s rehab in Season 3, the hotel casino was obviously not recognized in the show as a rehabilitation center. In Season 5, however, the White’s take refuge in the hotel after Jesse douses the White residence in gasoline and nearly burns it down. While Walt insists that the family is staying at the hotel because of the health risks caused by the gasoline fumes, he in reality is fearful of their safety. When Walt meets with Saul in the parking lot to discuss what should be done with the renegade Jesse, Saul suggests that Walt have Jesse killed but Walt won’t hear of it. When Walt returns to his room he confides in Skyler about why they are really there and Skyler also implies that they have Jesse killed. Later, Walt sits by the pool obviously in deep thought about what to do with Jesse, when Walt Jr. joins him and they talk about Walt’s mortality. After a heartwarming moment between father and son, Walt returns to his room and tries to call Jesse again, highlighting the father and son relationship between Walt and Jesse that runs throughout the show.
