Savoy serves as a stand in for the restaurant where Gretchen confronts Walt for lying to Skyler about Gretchen and Elliot paying for Walt’s treatment in Season 2. Gretchen is surprised at Walt’s behavior, especially when he tells her that “waving her checkbook around” won’t help the fact that Gretchen and Elliot made millions off of Walt’s research. Walt has some choice words for Gretchen when she says that she feels sorry for him, prompting Gretchen to leave abruptly.
