13. Cleveland Trust Tower

Constructed in 1971, it was one of the tallest buildings in Cleveland with 29 stories.  It was originally classed the Cleveland Trust Tower, with plans for a mirror tower to be built, but none of that came to fruition.  Instead the Cleveland Trust Tower's main occupant was the Ameritrust Bank and before its many mergers, the tower became known as the Ameritrust Tower. The Tower has been vacant since 1996, but is currently being renovated into luxury apartments in a revitalization project, which is ironic because it was here that The Winter Soldier was taken to be debriefed and rebooted in his own revitalization project. In 2013, the GEIS Company took ownership of the Tower which had long been a source of debate and controversy on the use of taxpayer money by state and city governments.  The plans now include the construction of a Nine Hotel and a Heinen's Grocery which is the most famous of all Ohio luxury grocery chains.
