Although it is one of many exterior shots of Cleveland that was used, nothing significant happened in history along the way of East 6th Street and Rockwell Avenue.  Many times it has been used as a stand in location for other worldly locations such as New York in the Avengers, but nothing out of the ordinary except angry commuters occurred around the filming this time.  For Captain America, the location was used for a battle scene between Nick Furry and The Winter Soldier.  If you do find yourself in the area in mid-March with a bit of the Luck o' the Irish, you can catch the party and the St. Patrick's Day Parade along the route.  It starts at the Rockwell Avenue intersection.
