19. Troarn Bridge

Three Para, unknown to anyone else, managed to assemble a team and loaded up their jeep with equipment and drove from the drop zone to Troarn. Deciding attack to be the best option they then drove around the village shooting up the German units based there. Then proceeding out of town and down to the bridge where they set a fuse on the explosive laden jeep and ran off into the night to rejoin their unit. The crazy action and resultant explosion brought the bridge down and meant the eastern flank was successfully protected.
