Dean and Sam are driving across a bridge to go see a man about his daughter drowning in the lake. As the Impala drives down the almost empty bridge in the morning light, an old man can be seen standing on the edge of the bridge. There is a tackle box beside him on the ground as he casts out with his fishing pole. Ladner Slough Bridge is actually a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the Ladner Marshes. The marshes are part of the Fraser River estuary before it empties into the Strait of Georgia. The Strait of Georgia is the body of water which separates British Columbia’s mainland from Vancouver Island.
