4. Mid-Valley Lookout

Right after stealing the ring of one of the three horsemen Sam and Dean go out to a park bench overlooking a forest. Dean inspects the ring as he talks to Sam. After waiting a few seconds Sam starts to talk to Dean. He confesses to his older brother that he has been craving demon blood. That ever since he saw the blood back in town he’s been craving it. Sam goes on to say he lies to himself about wanting to take the blood for the right reasons, but he’s not so sure anymore. He also comes to the realization the problem for his craving isn’t anyone else’s fault but his own. Dean listens to this entire confession silently before he speaks up. “So, what are you saying?” Dean asks him. “I’m in no shape to be hunting.” Sam answers. Mid-Valley Lookout is a very unassuming place. The lookout is also beside Rice Lake. It does have a picnic table overlooking the valley in real life. There is a gorgeous view from there overlooking the valley people can enjoy. However, to get there requires starting from the Spur 4 Bridge and goings upwards. It’s a very steep trek to get to the lookout so tread carefully if you plan to visit this place in person.
