The Country Music Hall of Fame is located centrally, on Fifth Avenue and is both easy to find and to access. It combines a museum and with an international arts organization, whose purpose is to educate visitors on the extensive and progressive history of country music, from when it began in Nashville over a century ago.Allow a full morning or afternoon for your visit as there is a lot to take in and enjoy, including a multitude of displays and interactive elements that are arranged in chronological order and reflect every era of country music from the late nineteenth century to the present day. You are given the option of walking around the exhibits by yourself or taking an audio tour, which is recommended as the commentary covers much of the supporting information for the exhibits in detail. The museum has a two million-item collection, although owing to the size of the building, displays are rotated, so if you are interested in seeing more, you would need to multiple visits over an extended period of time. There is plenty of visitor information available though, and there are also gift shops where you can purchase related souvenirs and books to take home with you.
