15. Honky Tonky CentralLocated on one of the street corners at the top end of Broadway, and with its wide row of first floor windows always open, the Honky Tonk Central is a bustling three levels of live music and good times. The various bands all cover a wide range of well-known country and rock songs so that people can join in and sing along. They also interact well with the crowd, who quickly fill up the impressive dance floor as the night progresses. It's a good first time bar to go to if you've just arrived and want to get a flavor of what to expect on the strip or if you're new to the music scene and are happy to sit and listen to familiar songs while you enjoy a drink. Its menu features house specials such as their Philly cheese steak and their meatloaf sandwiches, priced around $12 each, plus a great variety of salads, all priced around $10. The bar food is also very good and the portions are plenty big enough to share with family and friends. As a result, this is popular stop off point for those exploring downtown around the evening meal time, after which dining guests are soon replaced by a later drinking crowd to continue into the night.Owing to its location it does get very busy, particularly at the weekends, but the crowd is vibrant and there is a definite feel good atmosphere. There are plenty of tables lining the open windows that keep the bar fresh and breezy, even on the hottest and busiest of days.
