New York Ghosts
The Bowery HotelNew York Ghosts
4. The Bowery Hotel335 Bowery New York, NY 10003 The swanky Bowery Hotel may be known for its style and celebrity stays, but it allegedly also has a darker side. The hotel has been deemed one of the most haunted places in NYC. It likely has something to do with the fact that almost every night at 1a.m., the elevators go berserk, and it reportedly happens so often now that it doesn't seem to phase anyone, including hotel employees. There's no particular ghost that's said to haunt The Bowery Hotel, but many believe poltergeist activity is present, and it may be due to the fact that Marble Cemetery is nearby. It's a good thing singer Florence Welch didn't burn it down when she stayed there, because you now have the opportunity to step into the elevator yourself during the wee hours of the morning and see what ghostly happenings occur.
