The Ear InnNew York Ghosts
10. The Ear Inn326 Spring Street New York, NY 10013 The Ear Inn was initially built as a home in the 18th century for James Brown, a black man and aide to George Washington. After he passed away, the home turned into a brewery in the 19th century, was expanded, and later became a restaurant. In 1977, new owners named it the Ear Inn. They're obviously no strangers to spooky happenings, as a quote from their site reads, "Please tell us if you see any ghosts." One such famous ghost they're referring to is Mickey, a sailor who, as an apparition, gets joy out of grabbing the derrieres of unsuspecting waitresses. He's even believed to steal a little of the alcohol out of the glasses of patrons. Ladies who have lived above the bar also say they felt someone crawl into bed with them only to have no one physically there. Mickey reportedly lived at the establishment when it was a boarding house, but was hit and killed by a car right in front of the place. Head over to the Ear Inn and you may be able to get up close and personal with Mickey yourself.
