Haunted Georgetown
9. Jackie Kennedy’s Final House i
Washington, DC
In early 1964, when crowds of tourists and well-wishers and tour busses overwhelmed the street, Mrs. Kennedy decided to move to a more secure residence across the street. Mrs. Kennedy'?s decorator, Billy Baldwin, noted concerns that, despite the elevation above the street, it was remarkably easy to see into the windows of this house. Ms. Kennedy moved after only a few years to Manhattan, partly to avoid the continued visits of tourists to the Nation'?s Capital.
