The second and oldest standing movie house built in Hollywood is also the home of the Guinness World of Records Museum. It was in front of this building that in 1987 actor and former politician Arnold Schwarzenegger received the 1,847th star on the HWOF. As of 2013, there are more than 2,400 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks spanning 15 blocks of Hollywood Blvd and three blocks on Vine St. The names are a mixture of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, and fictional characters. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Historic Trust maintains this popular tourist destination. The Hollywood Theatre was built in 1913 as a 700-seat nickelodeon house, also referred to as an early motion-picture theatre where a film or a variety show could be seen, usually for the admission price of a nickel. The theatre is one of the first designed with large side panels angled to catch the eye of passing motorists; this remodeled theatre currently has an art deco appearance with its striking neon marquee. Inside, visitors will discover all kinds of facts and stories related to world records, such as the fastest talker who could spit out 586 word per minute or the world's most married man with 27 "I dos." Check out the most current record holders every day from 10am to midnight.
