Located on the corner of wall street and broad street in downtown Manhattan, the building previously known as the JP Morgan Building functioned as an ideal exterior for Gotham City's Stock Exchange in The Dark Knight Rises. A fitting blend into Gotham city's antique architecture and unique style. Built in 1913, this historic landmark was once home to one of the largest banks in the United States by assets. The building was so well known as the JP Morgan building that the astylar exterior was never marked with the name and is now known simply as 23 Wall Street or "The Corner." After Morgan moved his business, 23 Wall Street was linked to it's neighboring building and turned into a residential location in which a pool and and garden were added to it's roof. No stranger to the criminal violation inflicted by Bane and his crew, this building was the site of the 1920 Wall Street bombing. Damage is still shown on the limestone facade due to the company's refusal to repair the building in defiance to the anonymous criminals. Damage almost added to as Bane makes his strategic escape from the building, hostages in tow, on motorcycles that run down the steps and easily bypass the awaiting Gotham City Police Department. The interior of the stock exchange takes us to 433 South Spring Street in Los Angeles, California. A building known for it's zig-zag modern style and art deco lobby.
