Bane's revolution unfolds as plush households are raided and overrun by the impassioned underprivileged citizens and criminals of Gotham. A leader of chaos, Bane, meaning a great cause of distress, claims himself "Gotham's reckoning." Known in comic history as the "man who broke the bat" Bane lived up to this title in The Dark Knight Rises as he breaks Batman's body and attempts to break his spirit.
