Dark Knight Trilogy
Chicago TheaterDark Knight Trilogy
11. Chicago TheaterApproaching the Chicago Theatre with heralded excitement, as many onlookers have before, Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent were quickly stunted with the cancellation of the Russian ballet, whose performance they were planning to attend. Referred to as the Wonder Theater of the World, the Chicago Theater, exceeds all expectations and delicacies of an average movie theater. Originally opened in 1921 as a dominant movie theater enterprise until 1945, the theater now acts a venue for performing arts including stage plays, comedies, speeches, concerts, and magic shows. The grand lobby is modeled after the Royal Chapel of Versailles and stands five stories high, two less than the building itself, a magnificent impression if Rachel and Harvey had made it inside. No doubt the Russian ballet would have been quite a spectacle on the sixty foot stage surrounded by murals, chandeliers, and gilded decoration, had they not been inclined to accept Bruce Wayne's invitation of a private cruise in The Dark Knight.
