Delta Point was built in the 1980s as an office building that became mostly occupied by British Telecom. This high rise building represented Gotham General Hospital in The Dark Knight Rises. Gotham General Hospital was destroyed by a massive explosion organized by The Joker in The Dark Knight. The former building known as Brach's Candy Factory allowed filmmaker Nolan to begin it's scheduled demolition by destroying part of the building during the cinematic explosion. Director Nolan takes us to the city of Pittsburgh to represent Gotham's new hospital. Exterior and interior scenes were filmed relabeling the halls as Gotham General Hospital. Here, Blake makes many visits to Commissioner Gordon who believes in Blake's intuitiveness and determination. Blake proves himself even further by coming to Gordon's aid after suspecting and chasing Bane's men through the building's lobby. Gordon receives a more important visit by a masked Bruce Wayne, who, even after being informed of his myriad of injuries, considers Gordon's pleas for the return of The Batman.
