"You start pretending to have fun, you might even have a little by accident," Alfred encouraged, as the secret life of the Caped Crusader weighed on Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins. No one would believe Bruce was forcing a smile as he drove up to the Gotham hotel with two striking beauties in his Lamborghini. What really makes the scene is the overlooked hotel entrance, provided by Citypoint, sometimes called the eyelid of Citypoint due to it's unique overhead canopy design; Bruce couldn't have picked a better spot to shine in the limelight. Standing thirty five stories high, with an underground club and spa, Citypoint is the fifth tallest building in the main financial district of London. In the film, Bruce buys the hotel without a second thought, but in reality the price would have put a dent even his in pocket. Citypoint was sold to an American company called Beacon Capital for just over a million dollars, the largest deal in the United Kingdom at the time. Taking his leave of the fictional hotel, Bruce stalled in front of Citypoint, soaking wet from his fully clothed swim in the restaurant's fountain. His facade immediately dropped when he saw his long time friend Rachel Dawes. Disheartened by Bruce's display, she left him with the famous quote: "It's not who you are that defines you, it's what you do." Bruce's internal struggle is visible as he begins to understand the price of his double life.
