Dark Knight Trilogy

9. IBM Building330 North Wabash Avenue, currently known as the IBM building or IBM Plaza, is soon to be renamed the AMA Plaza. Keeping it's namesake after IBM sold it to Blackstone group and after many dealings with law offices and hotel designs, the American Medical Association announced the building would soon become its headquarters. Director Nolan continued this jostling of names when utilizing the building's inner offices in The Dark Knight. Accommodating the offices of the most prominent figures in Gotham including: Gotham City Mayor, Commissioner Leom, District Attorney Harvey Dent, and the board room for the new Wayne Enterprises, the building's unique interior is featured throughout the film. To adapt to IBM's large number of computers, an advanced level of environmental engineering was implemented during construction in 1972. This included the walls being sealed with a plastic thermal barrier and a reverse refrigeration system that reclaims heat given off by machines and people. Working within these fifty two stories of steel and glass is the people that carry the city of Gotham. Gotham City's Mayor explained the dangerous possibilities as consequence for Harvey's valiant display in the courtroom prosecuting hundreds of criminals at once. A new level of the Joker's sadistic messages as revealed outside the window of the Mayor's office during that meeting. Commissioner Leom spent his last night here after being outwitted by the villainous Joker. Newly appointed Harvey Dent settled into his new office, overlooking the Chicago River, encumbered with files and filled with claims of justice, where Gordon introduces Harvey's nickname as "The White Knight of Gotham." Wayne Enterprises' CEO, Lucius Fox, managed the workings of Wayne Enterprise, conducting business transactions and board meetings, as well as overseeing the secretive applied sciences department.
