Not venturing far from the extravagances of Bruce Wayne, filmmakers chose the New York Trump Tower located at 725 Fifth Avenue to represent the entrance to Wayne Enterprises in The Dark Knight Rises. An elegance in the midst of midtown Manhattan this fifty eight story building has multiple usages including retail, offices, and residential. The tower is a reinforced concrete structure that ties the exterior columns with the concrete core through a concrete hat-truss at the top of the building, which is effective against strong winds or minor earthquakes. Inside, the tower's fifth floor is famous for a large waterfall found within the atrium opening surrounded by shops and cafes. A luring attraction to many, including billionaire Bruce Wayne, celebrity tenants such as Beyonce, Bruce Willis and Janet Jackson have occupied the tower's residential suites. Seen multiple times in the film, the entryway delivers a memorable scene where Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini is being repossessed on the footsteps of the empire that brought him his lost fortune.
