Filming Locations of Harry Potter
10. Chapel Hill
London, England
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when Dumbledore whisks Harry from a railway station, they are off to meet Horace Slughorn. His house was filmed on Chapel Hill in Lacock, Wiltshire. Lacock itself, although a small village 3 miles from Chippenham, is almost entirely owned by the National Trust because of its unspoiled appearance and historic buildings. Many of the houses were constructed during the 1700s or earlier. There is a 14th-century tithe barn (a structure for storing one-tenth of a farm's produce to be turned over to the church), a medieval church, an inn dating from the 15th century, as well as a lock-up from the 18th century.
