Filming Locations of Harry Potter
Seven SistersFilming Locations of Harry Potter
49. Seven SistersIn Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, when Harry and the Weasleys find the Portkey in the form of a "manky old boot," they're transported to the coast, overlooking the dramatic white chalk cliffs known as the Seven Sisters in East Sussex. Located along the English Channel, they are part of the South Downs running between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne. They make for a good filming location because unlike other white chalk cliffs, like in Dover, they are free of modern development. From west to east, each peak is named, including Haven Brow, Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Flat Hill and Baily's Hill. An eighth peak, formed by ongoing sea erosion, has been named Went Hill Brow.
