Lambeth BridgeFilming Locations of Harry Potter
37. Lambeth BridgeAnother site in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban includes the bridge on which the Knight Bus squeezes between two oncoming double-deckers. It is the Lambeth Bridge that crosses the River Thames in central London. It spans the river in an east-west direction and the river flows north at the crossing point. The Lambeth Bridge features a prominent red color that matches the red of the leather benches in the House of Lords while the next downstream bridge, the Westminster Bridge, features the green that is on the benches in the House of Commons. The current structure of Lambeth Bridge is a five-span steel arch designed by engineer Sir George Humphreys and architects Sir Reginald Blomfield and G. Topham Forrest. The bridge was built by Dorman Long, and opened on July 19, 1932, by King George V.
